Adaptability. I am experienced with many different techniques of acting and understand that each actor has developed their own way of working. I teach actors to master accents, dialects, and foreign language dialogue in connection with and in support of their creative process, and the overall artistic vision of the project.

Efficiency. I prepare actor training materials extremely quickly, even for rare accents and obscure languages. Because of my expertise in articulatory phonetics and my ease in communicating with actors, I can help actors deliver results even when time is short. 

Coaching in multiple accents and languages. My expertise in the sound systems that make up languages, the mechanics of articulation, and in how to efficiently teach the physical skills actors need to sound authentic means that I can coach actors in foreign language dialogue. This is always done in conjunction with a native speaker informant or consultant, but note that native speakers who lack training in articulatory phonetics are rarely capable of effectively coaching actors. I can also act as a liaison for all other language experts you might employ, helping to assure that everyone’s work is in line with the overall artistic vision of the project.
